Nieuwegein, 26 October 2026
EuroWire.IO: Sunday PropTech, a hospitality ownership, investment and asset management company, has agreed to acquire 100% of Fletcher Hotels (“Fletcher”) from Egeria and Fletcher management. The transaction brings together Fletcher’s leading position in the Dutch hotel market with Sunday PropTech’s hospitality investment and asset management capabilities.
Founded in 1997, Fletcher is the largest hotel group in the Netherlands with 170 hotels, operating 130 own Fletcher hotels and 40 Fletcher Partner hotels across the Netherlands, Belgium and Germany and employing approximately 5,800 people. Fletcher has built a leading value-for-money leisure offering through a diversified portfolio of three- and four-star hotels across coastal, rural and urban locations. Over the past decade, Fletcher has grown rapidly through a disciplined buy-and-build strategy, completing around 60 add-on acquisitions while expanding its international footprint.
The acquisition marks an important step in Sunday PropTech’s expansion in Europe. Fletcher brings an established hotel operating platform, a strong local market position and a portfolio across the Netherlands and Germany. Sunday PropTech intends to build on these strengths through active asset management, technology & brand expertise and continued investment in the business.
Rothschild & Co acted as advisor to Fletcher. Closing of the transaction is subject to customary conditions. To Fletcher’s knowledge no decision has been made as to whether the bonds will be called for prepayment in connection with the acquisition.
Sunday PropTech spokesperson said, “We are pleased to welcome Fletcher as we expand our hospitality investment and asset management presence in Europe. Fletcher has built a strong business and a well-recognized brand in the Netherlands. We look forward to working with its management team to support the next phase of growth.”
Mark Wetzels of Egeria commented: “It has been a privilege to work alongside the management team of Fletcher over the past years. Together, we have further strengthened Fletcher’s leading position in the Netherlands while expanding its international footprint through a growing international presence. During this period, we have invested significantly in the organisation, real estate portfolio and technology platform, all with the aim of continuously enhancing the guest experience. With this strong foundation in place, I believe Sunday PropTech and its shareholders are the ideal partners to support Fletcher in its next phase of growth.”
